Recovery Assistance Audit Services Position Types

LLA requires applicants to have particular levels of education, experience, and certifications in order to qualify for a career in Recovery Assistance Audit Services.

Staff Auditor Levels
Staff Auditor I
Qualifications
  • Must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (in any major)
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana
  • Possess an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with at least 12 semester hours of accounting
OR
Staff Auditor II
Qualifications
  • Must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university (in any major)
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana
  • Also have one year of professional level experience equivalent to a Staff Auditor I
  • Must possess certification as a CPA and have one year of professional level experience equivalent to a Staff Auditor I; or,
  • Must possess an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with at least 12 semester hours of accounting and have one year of professional level experience equivalent to a Staff Auditor I

Senior Auditor Levels
Senior Auditor I
Qualifications
  • Two years of professional level experience in auditing, including one year at a level equivalent to a Recovery Assistance Staff Auditor II
  • Possession of a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant
  • Sufficient hours to sit for the CPA exam with written commitment to achieve CPA designation by a certain date
OR
Senior Auditor II
Qualifications
  • Three years of professional level experience in auditing, which must include one year at a level equivalent to a Recovery Assistance Senior Auditor I
  • Designation as a Certified Public Accountant
Internships
Qualifications
  • Pursuing an accounting baccalaureate or masters degree
  • At least one full semester left to complete
