LLA requires applicants to have particular levels of education, experience, and certifications in order to qualify for a career in Information Technology Audit Services.

Staff Auditor Levels
Staff Auditor I
Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate or advanced degree in IT (various IT-related degrees are acceptable), accounting, or other degree with IT work experience from an accredited college or university
  • Eligibility to take either the CISA, CISSP, or CPA examination, if not already certified
  • Possess an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with at least 12 semester hours of accounting
OR
Staff Auditor II
Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate or advanced degree in IT (various IT-related degrees are acceptable), accounting, or other degree from an accredited college or university with IT work experience
  • Eligibility to take either the CISA, CISSP, or CPA examinations
  • One year experience in IT auditing required
  • Possess certification as a CISA, CISSP, or CPA
OR
IT Services Auditor
Senior Auditor Levels
Senior Auditor I
Qualifications
  • Possess certification as a CISA, CISSP, or CPA, plus one year of relevant work experience
  • A baccalaureate or advanced degree in IT (various IT-related degrees are acceptable), accounting, or other degree with IT work experience from an accredited college or university with eligibility to take either the CISA, CISSP, or CPA examinations
  • One year experience in IT auditing at a level equivalent to a Staff IT Auditor II required
  • Actively pursuing primary certification (CISA, CISSP, or CPA)
OR
Senior Auditor II
Qualifications
  • Possess certification as a CISA, CISSP, or CPA
  • Two years of professional level experience in auditing, including one year at a level equivalent to a Senior IT Auditor I required
IT Services Senior Auditor
Internships
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a baccalaureate or advanced degree in IT or related field
  • Intent to eventually take the CISA, CISSP, or CPA examination
  • Able to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week
