Auditor positions exist in various divisions of LLA with salaries ranging from $38,000 to $46,800 for entry-level employees. Employees with some related experience earn between $45,000 and $57,400.
Minimum Qualifications for Financial Auditor and Advisory Services Positions (either 1, 2 or 3 qualifies)
1. A baccalaureate degree in accounting from an accredited college or university with sufficient hours to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana; 2. A baccalaureate degree other than accounting from an accredited college or university with sufficient hours to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana; or 3. A Certified Public Accountant.
Minimum Qualifications for Performance Auditor Positions (either 1 or 2 qualifies)
1. Advanced degree from an accredited college or university in such fields as accounting, business administration, communications, computer science, economics, finance, government, law, management, political science, public administration, psychology, sociology, and other qualitative or quantitative analysis and research fields; or 2. A Certified Public Accountant.
3. Some accounting background preferred.
Minimum Qualifications for Compliance Auditor and Recovery Assistance Auditor Positions (either 1, 2 or 3 qualifies)
1. A baccalaureate degree in accounting from an accredited college or university with sufficient hours to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana; 2. A baccalaureate degree other than accounting from an accredited college or university with sufficient hours to take the Certified Public Accountant examination in Louisiana; 3. An advanced degree from an accredited college or university with 15 hours in accounting; or 4. A Certified Public Accountant.
